After her brand new single featuring 6LACK dropped last Friday, the singer has now dropped the highly anticipated music video to accompany it - and we’re obsessed with the concept behind it.

Embodying different versions of herself, whether it be her shining on stage in a 1950s aesthetic style gown, to waitressing at a diner, to running from paps in her shades - we see the singer in every different capacity - but the message of the song rings true to each version equally.

The song breaks down the heartbreak of missing your ex, and not being ready to move on no matter how much you may need to. It explores the pain of learning the hard lesson that you only know what you have once you let it go, and the struggle that is accepting you were the one who was too harsh in a relationship.

The track comes from her second studio album ‘Phoenix’, and features a shining verse from rapper 6LACK. Speaking out on the song, Rita reveals: “I had so much fun making this video, and I can’t wait to share it with you all. This was one of my favourite tracks on the album and having 6LACK jump on the song has been really special. Hope you all love it.”

Rita is killing it at the moment, achieving over 1 billion Spotify streams from her last five singles alone, the first single from her latest album ‘Let Me Love You’ becoming her 13th top 10 single - setting a new UK Chart record for the most top 10 singles by a British female artist - AND seven million single sales all together, it’s clear this girl is making music history.

The video, directed by Hannah Lux Davis, comes out just after Rita begins her ‘Phoenix’ world tour in Australia. You can catch her in the UK on her arena tour in venues including London’s O2 Arena, Glasgow’s SSE Hydro and more.
