See Rita Ora As A Junkie In Southpaw Trailer
Pop star looks bloody and bedraggled in movie promo...
When the trailer for Southpaw dropped a couple of days ago, everyone got excited about the new Eminem song used on it and about Jake Gyllenhaal looking all pumped up and beefy.
However there was another little treat squirreled away in the two-and-a-half-minute promo - a blink-and-you'll-miss-it shot of Rita Ora playing a junkie.
The 24-year-old pop star and The Voice coach is seen peeking nervously around a door as Gyllenhaal's troubled boxer arrives - and she has admitted that she needed some acting help from the movie hunk.
She told Germany's Glamour magazine: "It was an incredible experience. Jake made it very easy for me.
"The role that I play is indeed very far away from my real life but this role made me see a few things differently now.
"To be honest I needed a lot of coaching and some speech training, because I had to have a certain accent.
"It was really great to go into a completely different world but it was not always easy."
Directed by Training Day filmmaker Antoine Fuqua, the new movie sees a down-on-his-luck boxer fighting to rebuild his family.
It was originally intended as a vehicle for Eminem, but the lead role eventually went to Gyllenhaal - who had to bulk up big-style after his gaunt appearance in Nightcrawler.
I'll make it easy, got a lot to lose
Watch the sunlight, coming through
Open the window, let it shine on you
'Cause I've been sick and working all week
And I've been doing just fine (Hey)
You've been tired of watching me
Forgot to have a good time, boy (Hey)
You can't take it, all these faces
Never keeping it real
I know exactly how you feel
When you say you've had enough
And you might just give it up
Oh, oh
I will never let you down
When you feeling low on love
I'll be what you dreaming of
Oh, oh
I will never let you down
Oh, oh
I will never let you down
Oh, oh
I will never let you down
There's a million ways to go
Don't be embarrassed if you lose control
On the rooftop, now they know
Your body's frozen and you lost your soul
'Cause I've been sick and working all week
And I've been doing just fine (Hey)
You've been tired of watching me
Forgot to have a good time, boy (Hey)
You can't take it, all these faces
Never keeping it real (Yeah, yeah)
I know exactly how you feel
When you say you've had enough
And you might just give it up
Oh, oh
I will never let you down
When you feeling low on love
I'll be what you dreaming of
Oh, oh
I will never let you down
Oh, oh
I will never let you down
Oh, oh
I will never let you down
Let me take you where you never go
Have a little fun, it's the only way we know
Let me show you what you never see
You know how to love, only when you holding me (Oh)
When you say you've had enough
And you might just give it up
Oh, oh
I will never let you down (Oh)
When you feeling low on love
I'll be what you dreaming of
Oh, oh
I will never let you down (Oh)
When you say you've had enough
And you might just give it up
Oh, oh
I will never let you down (Oh)
When you feeling low love
I'll be what you dreaming of
I will never let you down
