The Mannequins In River Island Are Just Having The Worst Time Right Now
River Island's latest mannequin display has everyone concerned for them
Life is pretty bleak if you are a mannequin in River Island - judging by the latest range of artificial dress dolls.
Sex and the City star Kim Cattrall may have made being a lifeless shop prop look like the best fun ever in the classic '80s romantic comedy Mannequin, but the dolls in River Island are on a completely different spectrum.
The dummy clothes horses look like they are sitting down in protest after being forced to wear look after look for year after year.
Or maybe they are just bored with being trapped inside one building for all eternity - or they could even be annoyed that they can’t move.
Shoppers passing by the high street chain have been quick to mock the current range of models that are posed sitting down, heads bowed in deep contemplation and arms crossed around their legs.
Hilariously many have taken to social media to share snaps of the manequins and poke fun at their ‘sad’, ‘hungover’, and ‘conflicted’ expressions.
‘The river island mannequins look like they're hungover in the shower thinking about their life choices. u ok hun,’ wrote one Twitter user.
‘Sad to see the River Island mannequins in a post Picnic heap like the rest of us. Questioning everything so they are,’ wrote another.
Meanwhile another batch of dummies drew further ridicule for posing taking selfies.
‘So the mannequins in River Island are taking selfies ... Yeah, apparently that's a thing,’ wrote another unimpressed shopper on Twitter.
