With Riverdale making a seriously anticipated return really quite soon, we thought now would be a good time to remind ourselves of all those unanswered questions that need to be addressed asap.

Is Jughead a full on Serpent now? Are there lingering feelings between Betty and Archie? IS FRED ANDREWS ALIVE?! Oh and just a few otherswe have…

1. Did Fred Andrews survive the shooting or will he come back in ghost form?

It’s safe to say we all lost our minds when Fred was shot at the end of season 1, but one of the biggest questions we need answering is DID HE LIVE?! The trailer for the new season left us none the wiser, as Archie is seen looking positively bereft after taking his dad to hospital. Fingers crossed he’s a-ok, because let’s face it Fred Andrews is a babe.

2. How will new Reggie fit into things now that he’s been recast?

With a new Reggie cast and way more available for filming than old Reggie (love you Ross Butler) what trouble is he going to stir? Judging from some set pics it looks like he could bequite the competition for Archie Andrews on the football field, not to mention him also being absolutely ripped after seemingly going to the gym every day.

3. Is there going to be a Sabrina The Teenage Witch cameo?

Exec producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said that there’s a 'high possibility' of Sabrina the Teenage Witch showing up in season two, and she might just be played by Dove Cameron. The Descants actress recently expressed her interest in the part, and to be honest we also think she’d be perfect.

4. Are Veronica and Betty Pops’ new waitresses?

There’s one pic on the internet that indicates B and V have gotten themselves jobs at Pop's, or is this just another one of those pesky dream sequences? Either way the girls somehow manage to pull off the yellow uniforms, something which we didn’t actually know was possible for any human.

5. Is new Southside Serpents member Toni Topaz going to cause trouble for Bughead? Or will she date Cheryl Blossom?

The newest cast member Vanessa Morgan has already been dishing the dirt when it comes to what her character has in store for the gang, and it might not be good news for Bughead fans. Aside from the fact that she might have a thing going on with Juggy, there’s also potential for a romance with Cheryl, too.

6. Who is going to play Betty’s secret brother?

After 'that' surprising reveal that Betty has a brother that was given up for adoption, we’re dying to know who he might be. And according to one Reddit theory he could already be in Betty’s life, as RandomFranticAction reckons it’s Kevin’s boyfriend Joaquin. Oh and FP is the father. Doesn’t sound too crazy, does it?

7. Is Betty actually a Blossom?

After big reveal no. 490 of the season finale, which saw Betty realise that her and Cheryl’s great-grandfathers were actually brothers, we were left with the realisation that Polly may actually be related to Jason...Who is the father of her baby. Um what?! But after quite the dramatic ending we never got to hear anymore of this, so if this could be addressed that would be great.

8. Are Varchie the real thing or does he still hold out feelings for Betty?

We all remember that longing look Archie gave Betty when she was with Jughead, but did it really mean anything? Well trusty EP Roberto previously said of the moment: “Feelings are messy and not cut and dry. These kids have been under an enormous amount of stress, so things get jumbled up.” We’re just so 'bored' of having to wait and see.
