Cole Sprouse Reveals That You Might Need To Prepare For Dark Jughead In Season 2 Of Riverdale
That Southside Serpent jacket could be a big old hint about what's to come
It goes without saying that the big finale episode of Riverdale season 1 has left us with a LOT of questions thanks to *that* major twist. But that's not all you've got to look forward to when the cast return for season 2.
In fact, according to Cole Sprouse, the twists and turns are only just beginning and he's warned fans that they might need to prepare for the lovable Jughead - and more of the cast - to go dark next series.
In case you need a little refresher, the series ended with a major change for super-sleuth Jughead, who not only is forced to move to the otherside of town to live with a foster family but who is seen putting on a Southside Serpents jacket, something which we're guessing is a big old hint about what's in store for him.
But apparently it's not just Jughead but the entire show set to go even darker.
"We’re going to be leaning into a lot of those qualities that a lot of people ended up loving in the first couple of episodes — this heavy cinematography, this overbearing colouration, this really dark content that’s kind of over-the-top and campy, but it’s taken very seriously," Cole explained in a new interview with TV Line, adding that the series is going to be way darker next time around.
But what does this mean for Jughead? Do you think he's going to follow in daddy's footsteps or could this all be a ruse to out the seedy underbelly of the biker gang?
Don't know about you but we cannot wait to find out. Bring on 2018 already.
