Did Riverdale Just Accidentally Expose Whether Fred Andrews Survived That Gunshot?

This could be a boo-boo, or it could not...

With barely two weeks to go until Riverdale becomes part of our lives again (not that it ever stopped, tbh) fans are up in arms over the fact that show could have just given away the fate of a certain Fred Andrews.

'Let's all get checking out KJ Apa revealing some dark details about season two of the show...'

For anyone who somehow missed the final episode of season one and has made it this far in life without knowing what happened, Archie's dad was shot in the diner in a cliffhanger that left everyone wondering whether he might have died.

Fans are now are poring over a post the official Riverdale Twitter account posted that seems to suggest that Fred pulled through the gunshot wound and is back in the series. Or, you know, he could just be filming a couple of flashback scenes. We're going with the first option.

The show shared a clip of Archie and his dad alongside an interview with actor Luke Perry, with the caption: "There's a special bond between father and son. See Luke Perry in #Riverdale, returning October 11 on The CW."

While the video was centred around their father-son relationship and how the dymanic changed when Archie's mum entered the series, the only thing fans could focus on was the fact that Luke would be making a return to the show.

"So that means that Fred is alive," one person predicted, while another could only convey their excitement with the caps-lock key: "HE'S NOT DEAD."

We might have all our fingers and toes crossed that Fred survived thatgunshot, but our concerns will only properly be put to rest when the show premieres in October.
