Robbie Williams: 'I Wanted Hugh Jackman Duet'
But actor's filming schedule prevented collaboration for Swings Both Ways...
Hugh Jackman almost appeared as a guest performer on Robbie Williams' latest album, the pop star has revealed.
Speaking to Real Radio, the Robster said that he'd been hoping to duet with Wolverine star Hugh on Swings Both Ways, but the actor's hectic schedule put paid to their plan.
"I wanted to sing with Hugh Jackman, but unfortunately he was between Wolverine and something else and couldn't do it," Robbie explained.
"But he was the only one who couldn't do it."
And Robbie also talked about the honour of his current LP becoming the 1,000th No 1 album in UK chart history.
"It's great but it's all so great and the press made a big deal of it, and my album got extra promotion because of it.
"It's just another part of being the luckiest man on the planet with my album coming out at that particular time. I'm blessed that it was number one, but triple quadruple blessed that it was the 1,000th No 1."
Hugh proved his versatility in last year's Les Miserables, which saw him acclaimed for his vocal performance as Valjean.
