What You Missed In Music: Paramore Tour, Robbie Williams Smoked A Spliff In Buckingham Palace & More
Also, Prince will be returning to streaming services and Depeche Mode hire the world's best social media intern: all of you.
Paramore will be touring in 2017
2017 is a good year to be a Paramore fan. First, news hit that original drummer Zac Farro would be re-joining the band, and now Paramore have confirmed that they’ll be touring later this year.
When a fan asked if the group would be touring in an Instagram comment, the group simply replied, “yes”.
Nice and simple that. No messing around from the Paramore camp, no time for ambiguities. A solid and direct “yes”. We like this style.
Depeche Mode to let fans run their Facebook Page for the next year
Most social media takeovers span just a few hours. Not in this case. Depeche Mode have decided to turn control of their Facebook page, and their 7 million likes, over to fans for the next year. (That’s one way to avoid paying for a social media intern, we guess.)
Every day for the next year, a different fan will share “personal anecdotes, videos, concert photos, covers of the band’s songs, or other Depeche Mode-related content,” to the 7 million people who’ve liked the page. Want to get involved? Apply here.
Prince returns to streaming services!
Good news! This Sunday, the same day as the Grammys, Prince will return to streaming services.
It’s not yet clear what time The Purple One will return on the day, but it will be happening.
This will be the first time Prince will be seen back (with the exception of Tidal) since 2015. Classic albums, including Purple Rain and 1999 will all be there.
Robbie Williams Got Lit In Buckingham Palace
This week in ‘How Lit Did Robbie Williams Get This Week’ – it's a solid 10/10. A golden 10/10. Why? Because Robbie Williams, a very silly man, smoked a spliff in Buckingham Palace.
Unfortunately, the story doesn’t go much further than Robbie saying: “Threw up in Buckingham Palace? No,” before adding: “I smoked a spliff in Buckingham Palace.”
Good.
