Robbie Williams Turns On Oxford Street Xmas Lights

Robbie Williamswas on hand to switch on the Take Thatstar - who is currently sitting pretty at No.1 in the official UK singles chart with Lawson and Leona Lewisalso taking to the stage.

Williams pressed the button with the help of Spice Girls singerEmma Buntonand some lucky competition winners, with his face lighting up the London sky as part of the new display - which allows people to have their faces appear in lights.

Speaking at the event, the 38-year old said: "Tonight's event was incredible - the Oxford Street crowds were amazing, and it was fantastic being part of the celebrations."

The Nick Grimshawhas since defended the station's decision to drop Robbie's tunes from their playlist, telling One Direction. I liked Take That when I was little but I’m not little any more."
