Robert Downey Jr Hints He'll Stay As Iron Man
Avengers star feels positive about continuing role as Tony Stark...
Robert Downey Jr has hinted that he'll be sticking around as Tony Stark in the Iron Man and Avengers movies for some time.
The 49-year-old star - this week named Hollywood's highest-earning actor - usually plays his cards close to his chest when it comes to more Marvel Studios films.
But he's now hinted to Entertainment Weekly that the ball is in Marvel and Disney's court.
"It's down to Kevin Feige and Isaac Perlmutter and Disney to come to us with what the proposal is, and that's on us to agree or disagree," he said.
"When things are going great, there's a lot of agreement.
"Right now, this has just been swell, hasn't it? This has been a really good one and it feels good and we're having a good time. It's that thing of: Why give up the belt when it feels like you can barely get jabbed?"
But he was careful not to over-commit, adding: "Most people are saying that right when they get knocked out… The future is, as usual, uncertain."
