Robert Downey Jr 'In Talks For Captain America 3 Role'
Iron Man star reportedly in line to appear in Cap threequel...
Robert Downey Jr might have recently been sending out mixed messages about his future in the Marvel Studios movie world - but he is reported to be in negotiations to appear in at least one more movie after Avengers: Age Of Ultron.
The 49-year-old, who plays Tony Stark in the Iron Man franchise and Avengers movies, is apparently in discussions to star opposite Chris Evans in Captain America 3.
And Variety claims that the studio is plotting to bring the "civil war" storyline from Marvel Comics to the big screen.
This would apparently see Tony Stark and the Cap clashing over the US government's "Superhero Registration Act" - legislation requiring superheroes to declare themselves and act as a special police force.
Such a story arc is anticipated to lead to additional sequels - possibly including a fourth Avengers film.
Captain America 3 is scheduled to enter production in May 2016.
