Robert Pattinson has been cast in a forthcoming gangster movie from Spring Breakers director Harmony Korine.
And the former Twilight star has revealed that he contacted arthouse filmmaker Korine out of the blue to ask about working together.
Speaking to Esquire, R-Pattz explained: "I never went to acting school, so this is just me trying to get better.
"I've literally only done jobs which interest me. There have been two which I auditioned for and didn't get, but other than that..."
He revealed that he has said "no" to more than one big-budget franchise movie offer since the Twilight saga came to a close on the big screen.
And his movie choices have been notably leftfield in recent years, including David Cronenberg's Cosmopolis and David Michôd's The Rover.
