Robert Pattinson: 'I Couldn’t Do Another ‘Twilight’ Movie'
R-Patz thinks he's gotten a bit too old to be playing the moody vampire anymore...
Robert Pattinson has revealed he ‘couldn’t do’ another Twilight film again, citing his age as the problem.
With Twilight having launched his career and A-list status, it comes as a surprise to hear the actor wouldn’t ever reprise the role that made him.
Talking to Variety magazine, he said: “I couldn’t do another ‘Twilight’ movie,” said Pattinson, who is 28. “I’m too old.”
“No one thought it was going to be a big deal,” Pattinson said of the 2008 movie hit. “We thought it was going to be like ‘Thirteen,’” he said, referencing the directorial debut of Catherine Hardwicke.
R-Patz has been at Cannes Film Festival this week promoting new films The Rover and Maps to the Stars, which he is already receiving rave reviews for both.
The Rover sees Pattinson star alongside Guy Pearce, as he tracks a gang that stole his car from a desolate town in the Australian Outback, and follows his journey through the barren land.
