Robert Pattinson could play Prince Harry in a new film- according to reports.
The Twilight star will apparently battle it out with Harry Potter man Rupert Grint for the lead in The Spare.
Scriptwriters are currently working on the movie- which will follow the ginger Prince through the death of his mother and time fighting in Afghanistan.
Director Peter Kosminsky said about the story: “I feel a sense of compassion for the guy. His parents break up in the most spectacularly public way, his mother dies in the most tragic and, again, public way and everything is picked over."
However he has not ruled out casting an American as Prince Harry.
He said: “My personal approach as a director is that I read the script and people start to pop into my head."
