R-Pattz On The Rover Audition Process
Robert Pattinson has been discussing the audition for his new movie The Rover - and has explained that he did it differently to normal.
In a break from his usual roles, R-Pattz plays a confused and vulnerable young adult in the post-apocalyptic morality tale - which also stars Guy Pearce.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter, R-Pattz said: "It was the first time in years where I went in sort of in character, a little bit, and dressing for the part, which I never normally do."
And director David Michod confirmed it, but added: "Not really obviously so."
"That was just in case I was getting it wrong," quipped Pattinson.
"Walking into the audition was very nerve-racking because I had genuinely no idea if I was completely off the mark.
"But after, it was one of the easier and most fun parts. I think that's why I wanted to do it, just because it's a fun character."
The movie sees Pearce hunting down the gang who stole his car - which we presume must be a Rover (ho ho).
