Robin Thicke And Pharrell Lose Blurred Lines Case
Pop pair must pay millions to Marvin Gaye's estate...
An eight-person jury in California yesterday decided in favour of the Gaye family to the tune of $7.3m in a legal dispute over the duo's mega-hit Blurred Lines - which the relatives had claimed was ripped-off from Gaye's Got To Give It Up.
A rep for Williams said: "While we respect the judicial process, we are extremely disappointed in the ruling made today, which sets a horrible precedent for music and creativity.
"Pharrell created 'Blurred Lines' from his heart, mind and soul and the song was not taken from anyone or anywhere else. We are reviewing the decision, considering our options and you will hear more from us soon about this matter."
The court had heard that each star made around £3.3m from the international smash.
