Robin Thicke's Wife Talks Miley VMA Controversy

Robin Thicke's wife has broken her silence regarding her hubby's steamy stint on stage with Miley Cyrus at the 2013 MTV VMAs.

 

Paula Patton has since tried to play down their raunchy antics - which saw Cyrus twerking up against Thicke - saying she was "not surprised" by their performance.

 

Speaking during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, the Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol actress stated: "Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand, and I don't know how not to dance with someone having their booty in your... all my friends do it like that."

 

 

Patton added: "And, I don't really know what the big deal is."

 

She then went on to express her own confusion as to what people were expecting from Cyrus' performance, joking:"I didn't know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys. Her song's about taking Molly.

 

"I don't understand. I didn't get the big deal."

 

Thicke himself recently defended their performance, telling Star: "The whole point was to excite and provoke and entertain. I thought it was silly and funny. 

 

"She was being humorous and naughty, but it wasn't sexually charged at all."
