Robin Williams Autopsy Results Show No Drink Or Drugs

Comedy acting legend was sober when he took his own life...

A coroner's report into the tragic death of Robin Williams has revealed that the troubled star was not drunk or on drugs when he took his own life.

Williams' death in August was ruled a suicide by authorities in California - and the report reveals that he died from asphyxia due to hanging - with no alcohol or drugs in his system.

He had last been seen by wife Susan Schneider the night before his body was discovered and his personal assistant raised the alarm after becoming concerned for him.

It was revealed after his death that the Oscar-winning entertainer - who appeared in films including Good Morning Vietnam, Good Will Hunting, Mrs Doubtfire and Jumanji - had been struggling with severe depression.

In a statement following his death Schneider said: "As he is remembered, it is our hope the focus will not be on Robin's death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions."
