Robin Williams Hanged Himself In His Home, Coroner Confirms

It has been confirmed that Robin Williams died from suicide, hanging himself in his home Monday morning (August 11).
A coroner from Marin County Sheriff's Office addressed media today with a statement, saying Williams was found with a belt around his neck in a seated position on the ground.
He went on to add that preliminary findings showed he had wedged the belt between a door and a door frame.
The 63-year-old's publicist confirmed the devastating news yesterday, saying: “Robin Williams passed away this morning. He has been battling severe depression of late.
“This is a tragic and sudden loss. The family respectfully asks for their privacy as they grieve during this very difficult time.”
