The 2015 Jameson Empire Awards were full of surprises (check out the full winner's list below), but the highlight came via that unlikeliest of comediennes - Rosamund Pike.

Her acceptance speech for nabbing Best Actress for her delightfully twisted role in David Fincher's 'Gone Girl 'came with an amusing story of her history with the director, and - hilariously - the career choices she made to get there.

Let's just say it appears she's as self-aware about some of the, erm, 'quality-averse' roles on her cinematic CV. In short, we heart Rosamund.
