Last night as the sun set over Mayrhofen, Rudimental and Redlight took to the decks 2000m above sea level to entertain 250 privileged festival goers who were in for a real big treat.
Feeling: Watching the sunset while standing atop a snow-capped mountain is a pretty special experience at the best of times but when you're sitting around a fire awaiting DJ sets from some of the best in the business, excitement levels were sky-high - literally.
The Look: Ice cold and ice cool, inside the 'white lounge' was a canvas for sexy blue and orange lighting while the revellers on the dancefloor donned their warmest attire…and even fur blankets…!
Tunes: After a cracking set from Redlight, it was a chance to sample the Rudimental record collection with old skool classics like Notorious B.I.G's Hypnotize and The Fugees' Ooh La La La were pulled out of the bag and met with elation - even Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On got a spin!
The quartet's DnB influences old and new were present with the likes of M-Beat & General Levy's Incredible and the more recent Andy C remix of Major Lazer's Get Free and, of course, the odd smattering of arm-raising Rudimental classics of Waiting All Night, Right Now, Not Giving In and Feel The Love provided the night's sing a long moments.
Sweat Factor: When a venue LITERALLY melts above your head, you know people are having a blast.
Summary: Quite literally nothing you've ever experienced, the Arctic Disco is a must-do at Snowbombing. After all in the words of Outkast: "What's cooler than being cool?"
