The MTV Staying Alive Foundation, which works with young leaders around the world to end HIV, has teamed up with Goodwood Three Friday Nights, the horse racing and music event, to help the charity achieve its aim of an HIV-free generation.
Goodwood Three Friday Nights, situated in the parade ring at the Goodwood Racecourse in Sussex, takes place over three separate Friday’s from May into June with amazing world renowned DJ acts performing.
This year will see Rudimental (Friday May 31), Groove Armada’s Andy Cato (Friday June 14) and Trevor Nelson (Friday June 21) all hit the decks to entertain the 20,000 guests this summer.
Partygoers are encouraged to make a £2 donation towards the fight against HIV which will help buy items such as HIV testing kits and condoms.
"HIV continues to affect millions of people, especially young people, around the world" says Georgia Arnold, Executive Director of the MTV Staying Alive Foundation.
"The MTV Staying Alive Foundation works with grassroots projects on the ground to stop HIV before it starts. A £2 donation really can make a huge difference, allowing us to purchase HIV testing kits, condoms and produce educational materials to help us achieve our vision of a future free from HIV.”
Adam Waterworth, Director at Goodwood Racecourse, said: “We are thrilled to be aligning with the MTV Staying Alive Foundation; not only to raise funds but also awareness for such a pressing cause.
"Goodwood Three Friday Nights is targeted at the youth of today making it the perfect synergy for Goodwood and MTV Staying Alive Foundation to come together. We are looking forward to one of the biggest Three Friday Nights yet in collaboration with our new charity partner.”
Tickets for all Three Friday Nights are on sale now priced £25 in advance. Tickets are available online at www.goodwood.com or by calling 01243 755055.
