Rupert Grint In US TV Superhero Pilot
Former Harry Potter star takes lead role in CBS superhero pilot...
The 24-year-old Brit actor, who played Ron Weasley in the wizard movies, has been cast as the lead character Clyde in Super Clyde, which tells the story of a shy and neurotic young man who decides to become a superhero after inheriting some money.
The Sun newspaper reports: "When young Clyde is left an inheritance of £65,000 a month by his uncle, he decides that the cash will be his secret super power and that he will use it only for good and reward the good-hearted."
Produced by TV network CBS, the pilot will be directed by former My Name Is Earl helmer Mike Fresco.
Rupe's next movie role will be opposite Shia LaBeouf in The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman - which is scheduled for release in the UK later this year.
