Brand Gets Police Warning
The comedian makes a prank phone call to police whilst on stage
Russell Brand has been told off by police for making a hoax phone call to them during a comedy gig. Whilst on stage in Northampton the controversial comic called cops claiming to have info about recent attacks in the area. Women had been harassed by a man dubbed the underpass attacker in various attacks over the last few weeks. He was wearing a lime green top and polka- dot trousers, Brand told a Police info line adding: 'I've had someone come near my underpass. Northampton Police said they would discourage any prank phone calls to their helplines. Former MTV presenter Russell later apologised saying: 'I appreciate the seriousness of the issue and am devastated by the possibility that I may have offended vulnerable people.
