Russell Crowe Splits From Wife?
Australian newspaper claims A-lister and wife have separated after nine years...
Hollywood star Russell Crowe has reportedly separated from his wife of nine years.
The 48-year-old actor married Danielle Spencer in 2003 but according to The Sydney Morning Herald, Russell's busy work schedule had put pressure on the relationship.
The Australian newspaper claims the split was "amicable" and reports that both Russell and Danielle are "committed to protecting their boys" during this "tough time".
News of the breakup will come as a surprise to many as the relationship has long been regarded as solid.
Earlier this year People magazine published photographs of Danielle on a night out with her Dancing With The Stars partner Damian Whitewood, but Crowe quickly dismissed any speculation about his marriage with a public display of affection at Sydney Airport.
In the wake of the split, Russell is said to be "throwing himself into work" - filming Biblical epic Noah - while the couple's two children, eight-year-old Charles and six-year-old Tennyson remain with their mother.
According to reports in Oz, the reason for the rumoured split has yet to be confirmed.
