Gosling’s initial reaction was one of overwhelming disappointment, as if he’d let both his fans and the BBC down, muttering: “Oh my god.”

The heartthrob then threw his phone out of sight,before apologising toStayt – who didn’t seem at all phased by the incident.

“I’m sorry about that,” he continued. “I’m ashamed.”

The presenter then askedwhat would happen if the same thing happened on one of Gosling’s sets.

Still trying to overcome his embarrassment, the star said he would"go nuts"and turn into Hulk Hogan, adding:“Just Hogan your shirt off and start swinging.”
