Where Are The Stars Of Sabrina The Teenage Witch Now?

And no, they're not trapped in the linen closet.

By Portis Wasp

It’s been 12 years since Sabrina, The Teenage Witch left our screens in a huge puff of smoke after seven magical seasons, but we haven’t forgotten how charmed our childhood was, thanks to afternoons spent hanging with the kids of Westbridge High.

But where are they now? Granted, 12 years isn’t a long time in witch years, but it’s more than a lifetime in Hollywood years! We cast a spell or two to help us find out what the cast had been up to since the show ended with Sabrina riding off into the sunset with her high-school sweetheart Harvey.

Sabrina Spellman

Shortly after her parents are called away for totes non-fishy reasons (“foreign services” work and an archaeological dig in Peru) and she moves in with her zany aunts Zelda and Hilda, Sabrina Spellman discovers on her 16th birthday that she is a witch. Not only that, Sabrina’s aunts are also witches, but that’s okay because there needed to be a plausible reason for their talking cat Salem.

Sadly, her teenage witch years are well behind her now, with Melissa Joan Hart quoted as saying she has no plans to reunite the cast for a one-off special. The actress has been starring in and executive producing the ABC Family show Melissa & Joey since 2010. She has three sons with her husband, rock singer Mark Wilkerson, whom she married in 2003. Want to know more? Her autobiography, Melissa Explains It All, is out now.

Aunt Zelda

When she’s not cooking up something scientific, Zelda spends a lot of her time helping Sabrina learn about magic, and how to control her powers. As Sabrina’s older (and much wiser) aunt, it is often up to Zelda to be the responsible one, so the less said about her being turned into a candle in the final series the better, okay?

Beth Broderick continues to pop up on TV screens, but her most prolific role post-Sabrina is playing Kate’s mother on Lost. The actress has also starred in Under the Dome and even reunited with MJH last year to guest star in a couple of Melissa and Joey episodes.

Aunt Hilda

She may be less reliable than her sister, but Hilda is the fun aunt that for all of her ditsy behavioural traits and wacky dress sense, is actually a lot of help to Sabrina when spells go awry. She’s a hot mess who thinks nothing of impulsively buying a clock shop or dating Sabrina's vice principle Willard Kraft. But would you expect anything less from someone who pairs bright prints with ruffles and faux-fur?

Since Sabrina, Caroline Rhea has worked steadily in TV. She voiced the character Linda on animated TV series Phineas and Ferb for many years, hosted The Biggest Loser for a couple of seasons, and even appeared in an episode of 2 Broke Girls earlier this year.

Principal Kraft

Always suspicious of Sabrina and all the weird things that happen around her at Westbridge High School, Principal Willard Kraft is a right ole meanie, who often dishes out punishments to the teen witch and her friends for no reason. How he manages to romance both of Sabrina’s aunts – much to Sabrina’s annoyance – is beyond us, but it all ends well (for Sabrina and her aunts) and somewhat badly for the Willard, when he has a bad break-up with Zelda and is hit by a car. Driven by Salem.

With over 126 IMDB acting credits to his name, Martin Mull has been working in TV for nearly 40 years! He has made appearances on popular shows American Dad!, Two and a Half Men, Arrested Development and Community.

Libby Chessler

Head-cheerleader Libby is the Regina George of Westbridge High and spends most of her time bullying Sabrina and her friends by calling them “freaks”. She is also super jealous that Harvey likes Sabrina more than her and even tries to steal him away from her on a school trip to Disney World. Seriously though, how good was it when Sabrina turned Libby into a pineapple in one episode and Hilda threatened to chop her up into little pieces?!

Jenna Leigh Green has mostly concentrated on theatre work since Sabrina and played both Nessarose and Elphaba in touring productions of Wicked.

Jenny Kelley

Wisecracking Jenny prides herself on being odd and a bit of a rebel, which makes her a great friend for a witch like Sabrina. Strangely though, Jenny never gets to find out that her BFF is a witch, as she mysteriously disappears at the end of sophomore year.

Much like her character’s disappearing act on Sabrina, Michelle Beaudoin's IMDB page is shrouded in mystery, with no new updates in over 10 years. Someone might need to think about casting a locator spell for this one… She does tweet from the handle @tweets2who, just not very often.

Valerie Birkhead

Valerie is a shy and awkward girl with low self-esteem and a huge secret (she is allergic to watermelon), who befriends Sabrina when her family move to Westbridge! Reliable and trusting, Val is definitely an upgrade, but their friendship only lasts a couple of years before she moves again with her family to Alaska.

Sabrina’s former BFF could have retired after playing the iconic role of Big Red in cheertastic comedy Bring It On, but Lindsay Sloane didn’t stop there, and has appeared in popular shows Weeds, How I Met Your Mother and Entourage, as well as both Horrible Bosses films. She is currently starring in the show The Odd Couple along with Chandler from Friends. She was also one of Sarah Michelle Gellar's bridesmaids!

Quizmaster Albert

Albert was Sabrina’s Quizmaster in Season Two, and had the job of teaching the teen witch how to use her magic, so that she could receive her Witch’s license after one year of training. As you can imagine, this guy had his work cut out!

Alimi Ballard most recently appeared in a couple episodes of CSI, but is best known for playing David Sinclair in Numb3rs, which ended after 114 episodes in 2010.

Salem Saberhagen

Sabrina’s cat Salem isn’t your average four-legged friend (with a mean streak), but that’s because he is actually a 500-year-old warlock, who was sentenced to spend 100 years as a cat by the Witches Council as punishment for trying to take over the world. Undecided whether he wants to be loyal to Sabrina or cause drama for entertainment, Salem is certain of one thing; Harvey is his best friend.

Nick Bakay was a writer on Sabrina as well as the voice of Salem, and has continued to write for television. He currently writes for the Anna Faris comedy series Mom.

Harvey Kinkle

Sabrina’s high-school sweetheart first meets her when he accidentally hits her on the head with a football. At first too shy to tell Sabrina how he felt about her, Harvey soon plucked up the courage to ask her out and they began dating, often hanging out after school at their favourite pizza parlour The Slicery. That lucky witch!

Nate Richert decided to concentrate on music after the show and released his debut solo album, Halogen Moon, in 2012. He also gives good tweet.
