Borat's Website Banned
Kazakh authorities shut down comedy character's site...
Borat's website has been taken down by the Kazakhstan authorities who are apparently sick of his badmouthing their homeland.
Sacha Baron Cohen's controversial character " an intrepid reporter from the former Soviet Republic " had www.borat.kz shut down yesterday. Nurlan Isin, President of the Association of Kazakh IT Companies, said: "We've done this so he can't badmouth Kazakhstan under the .kz domain name. He can go and do whatever he wants at other domains."
Borat hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards 2005 in Lisbon, Portugal, and has been a regular feature on Cohen's hugely popular Da Ali G Show.
