Sam Gowland Blasts Trolls As He Calls For More Legislation On Cyberbullying
The Geordie Shore lad thinks the problem is getting out of control
Sam Gowland has opened up about the impact of cruel comments and has pointed out that tougher legislation needs to be passed about what can and should be said on social-media.
Now check out the time Chloe and Sam hid from an intense fan waiting outside their hotel room...
Having dealt with his fair share of rude comments in the past, the 23-year-old wrote: “After what’s gone on the past few months I Still can’t believe some of the comments I am reading on social media. Surely something should be put in place to stop it happening.”
He had previously paid tribute to Mike with the message: “Absolutely lost for words not only made a friend in the villa but made a mate for life on the outside to !!! Absolutely devastated @MikeThalassitis R.I.P my mate .”
This isn’t the first time Sam has tried to draw attention to the matter of cyberbullying, previously recalling a time when he found girlfriend Chloe Ferry crying in bed over some nasty remarks about her appearance.
“Not cool that when I’ve just went upstairs Chloe is in bed crying because of the horrible comments on her Instagram post , don’t think some people realise the effect it can have on people,” he wrote last year.
While Sam has always understood the fact that people will “have their opinions about him”, he makes a great point about how a constant stream of negativity can have a huge impact on a vulnerable person’s state of mind.
