Sam Smith Reclaims No 1 Album Spot

While Ellie Goulding reigns at the top of the singles chart for a second week…

Sam Smith has topped the Official UK Albums Chart for a sixth time with his debut album, In The Lonely Hour.

The soul singer’s million-selling LP climbedthree places to take the top spot once again following his Grammy Awards success, where he took home four gongs including one for song of the year and best new artist.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran’s X wasa non-mover at No 2 and Drake stormedinto the chart at No 3 with his surprise mixtape, If You’re Reading This You’re Too Late.

Kodaline also entered the chart at No 4 with their second studio album, Coming Up For Air, while George Ezra’s Wanted On Voyage roundedout the top 5.

Over in the Official UK Singles Chart, Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do heldon to the top spot for a second week.

Hozier climbed one place to No 2 with Take Me To Church — swapping places with Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars who fell one place to No 3 with Uptown Funk.

DJ Fresh’s anthemic Gravity (ft. Ella Eyre) enteredthe chart at No 4, and Rihanna fellone place to No 5 with FourFiveSeconds (ft. Kanye West and Paul McCartney).
