There's A First Hint Of Sam Smith's New Music As He's Pictured With Super Producer Timbaland
OMG.
But always hit the floor
I've spent a lifetime running
And I always get away
But with you, I'm feeling something
That makes me want to stay
I'm prepared for this
I never shoot to miss
But I feel like a storm is coming
If I'm gonna make it through the day
Then there's no more use in running
This is something I got to face
If I risk it all
Could you break my fall?
How do I live? How do I breathe?
When you're not here, I'm suffocating
I want to feel love run through my blood
Tell me, is this where I give it all up?
For you, I have to risk it all
'Cause the writing's on the wall
A million shards of glass
That haunt me from my past
As the stars begin to gather
And the light begins to fade
When all hope begins to shatter
Know that I won't be afraid
If I risk it all
Could you break my fall?
How do I live? How do I breathe?
When you're not here, I'm suffocating
I want to feel love run through my blood
Tell me, is this where I give it all up?
For you, I have to risk it all
'Cause the writing's on the wall
The writing's on the wall
How do I live? How do I breathe?
When you're not here, I'm suffocating
I want to feel love run through my blood
Tell me, is this where I give it all up?
How do I live? How do I breathe?
When you're not here, I'm suffocating
I want to feel love run through my blood
Tell me, is this where I give it all up?
For you, I have to risk it all
'Cause the writing's on the wall
If you've not been able to fill the void in your heart that Sam Smith left when he scarpered to work on new music, there's a light at the end of the tunnel. This weekend we got had a glimpse of the 'Stay With Me' hit maker busy in the recording studio with a BIG name.
Over the weekend super producer Timbaland uploaded pics to Instagram of the 'Writings On The Wall' singer in the studio together, along with Sam's long-time collaborator Jimmy Napes, saying "It was a pleasure working this man," coupled with a bunch of fire emojis.

As well as his own smashes including 'The Way I Are', 'Give It To Me' and 'If We Ever Meet Again', Timbaland was also a contributor behind the huge successes of Justin Timberlake's Justified, OneRepublic's 'Apologize' and countless other artist's albums and singles.
Sam's heartbreaking debut album In The Lonely Hour, which won him four GRAMMY awards dealt with unrequited love, loss and loneliness, but with the news that Timbaland is on board, the question begs - will we be seeing a new side to Sam on album two?
Save for the odd tweet here or there, Sam has been relatively silent on social media, taking a leaf out of Ed Sheeran's book to work on his new music in private, so needless to say this teeny bit of news is all VERY EXCITING. Even if it is just a chance to see that lovely smile again.
