Samsung Galaxy S4 'To Be Quad-Core In UK'

British customers won't be getting new octa-core processor at launch...

Samsung's [uuid=54d122d7-c8e6-407d-86dd-565f0b5334b3]newly revealed Galaxy S4[/uuid] smartphone will only be sold with a 1.9GHz quad core chip providing its processing power when it launches in the UK, it has been reported.
The Korean electronics giant's much-heralded new flagship device will have a super-powerful 1.6GHz octa-based processor in certain territories - but T3 claims the UK will not be among them.
A Samsung spokesman told the technology website: "[The] Samsung Galaxy S4 is equipped with a 1.9GHz Quad-core AP or a 1.6GHz Octa-core AP. The selection of AP varies by markets. In the UK the Galaxy S 4 will be available as a 4G device with a 1.9GHz Quad Core Processor."
The company has not yet confirmed whether the octa-core processor will be sold in the UK later - or how it expects the chip to affect performance.
