Samuel L Jackson Berates Interviewer Over Mistaken Identity
Newsman confused Pulp Fiction star with Laurence Fishburne
Samuel L Jackson has torn a strip off a US TV news presenter after being mistaken for Laurence Fishburne live on air.
The Pulp Fiction star saw red after KTLA's entertainment anchorman Sam Rubin congratulated him on his Super Bowl commercial, not realising that he was thinking of The Matrix star Fishburne.
"What Super Bowl commercial?" Jackson replied, waiting for Rubin to realise his blunder.
"Oh, you know what... my mistake," the interviewer said - but Jackson wasn't letting him off the hook.
He declared: "You're as crazy as the people on Twitter. I'm not Laurence Fishburne!"
And as Rubin tried to apologise, Jackson added: "We don't all look alike! There must be a very short line for your job."
The interviewer attempted to change the subject to Jackson's new movie RoboCop, but the actor was having none of it.
"Oh hell no! There's more than one black guy doing commercials.
"I'm the 'What's in your wallet?' black guy. He's the car black guy. Morgan Freeman is the other credit card black guy."
