Sarah Harding: 'Cheryl's Solo Success Was Pot Luck'
Girls Aloud star also reveals her debut LP will be 'darker' than Rihanna...
During an interview with Girls Aloudstar was quizzed over what she thought made Chezza's solo career such a huge success, with Harding stating: "I reckon it's down to pot luck.
"Cheryl was luck and you have to take time into consideration - she was doing The X Factor, which helped to promote her as an individual."
Sarah went on to claim that like Cheryl, she wouldn't mind being a talent show judge, explaining: "If it was a music show, I'd love to.
"Whenever The X Factor is on, I find myself shouting at the TV… I'm a bit critical, but obviously I would be nice too!"
The 31-year-old has also discussed her debut solo album in a separate interview with Star magazine, with Harding revealing she will be a "darker" version of Rihanna when the campaign kicks off later this year.
Sarah told the publication: "Everyone is expecting me to go down a rocky route, but I don't think the fans are quite ready for that! It's like an edgier pop.
"I love Rihanna's kind of music, with a sort of darker vibe that I can put my spin on. Obviously, there's a lot for me to write about, but I just want to raise some eyebrows and inspire people. I put that on Twitter the other day."
The Something New singer previously told MTV News UK that despite Girls Aloud's split, she can see them reuniting again in the style of the Spice Girls.
