Scooby Doo 'Next To Get Movie Reboot Treatment'
Classic cartoon set to be reinvented as live-action movie (again) by Warner Bros...
Yesterday it was The Powerpuff Girls and Danger Mouse - today comes the news that another kids' cartoon from the past is getting a reboot.
And this time it's Hanna-Barbera's much-loved Scooby Doo which will be reinvented - but as a live-action movie rather than an animated offering.
The scaredy-dog sleuth and his human companions have been featured in a number of TV series from 1969 all the way to last year - and also as a live action movie starring Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr in the early noughties.
The news comes just days after the death of legendary US DJ and TV personality Casey Kasem - who provided the voice for Shaggy in the classic series.
Warner Brothers is reported to be starting from scratch with the new movie - and Deadline reports that writer Randall Green has been engaged to put a script together.
