Francia Raisa Reveals She Is 'Beyond Grateful' To Have Helped Save Selena Gomez's Life With Kidney Transplant

Selena Gomez underwent a kidney transplant over summer.

On Thursday Selena Gomez revealed thatshe receiveda kidney transplant from her best friend Francia Raisaover summer due to her on going battle with Lupus, and now Francia has opened up about the journeytheyare on together.

Taking to her Instagram to share a picture of the pairin hospital, Francia revealed that she is 'beyond grateful' to have helped save the former Disney stars' life.

Actress Francia wrote: "I am beyond grateful that God would trust me with something that not only saved a life, but changed mine in the process."

Revealing that the pair will be sharingmore details about the life changing operation in the future, Francia added:"This was part of our story, and we will share it soon, but what is important now is that this is not the only story."

Selena has been battling the autoimmune disease Lupusfor a number of years, and first spoke out about her struggle in 2015 after taking time out to seek treatment.

The Fetish singer revealedthat she was unable to promote her new music due recovering from the operation, and shethanked her 'beautiful' friend Francia for the 'ultimate gift'.

"There aren’t words to describe how I can possibly thank my beautiful friend Francia Raisa, she gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed. I love you so much sis," wrote the singer.
