Unless you haven’t opened Instagram in about 48 hours, you’ll know that Miley Cyrus is currently taking a trip down memory lane and uploading a load of footage from the mid-noughties.

Anyone who was a big fan of Disney Channel culture during that time will know that Hannah Montana and the Jonas Brothers ruled the entire world, with Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato also earning their keep as huge upcoming stars.

One particular image of Miley and sister Noah Cyrus wearing Jo Bros merch caught the eye of Nick Jonas; who dated the now 26-year-old on and off during their early teenage years.

“Amazing. These throwback shots have been [fire],” he responded in a DM to Miley, as she published the message on her main profile with the cute comment: “That moment when even your ex knows your socials have been [fire].”

It turns out that Priyanka Chopra, who tied the knot with Nick last year, is also a huge fan of the vintage posts after she joked: “Lol. Hahaha… Hubby is right. These posts r [fire].”

In a separate post, Miley shared a retro clip of a ‘7 Things’ performance, alongside the caption: “Your generation = 7 Rings MY generation = 7 Things 💍7️⃣💍7️⃣💍7️⃣💍7️⃣💍 Simpler times. @selenagomez#MillenialsVSGenZ.”

For her part, Selena – who *also*dated Nick around the same time – replied that everything was much sweeter back in 2008, writing “tbt – such babies” alongside a double heart emoji.
