Selena Gomez was forced to cut short a TV interview on Monday (July 22) after being quizzed about her ex-boyfriend,Justin Bieber.

During a video interview with Dean Richards on Chicago's WGN Entertainment network, the Come & Get It singer was probed about JB - leaving Selena speechless.

According to The Daily Mail, Richards asked Gomez: "You're, you know, probably as close a friend to Justin Bieber as they come. Is there something about him that we don't get or we don't understand?

"I mean, there is one story after another of, you know, pretty outrageous behaviour that we're reading about."

A bewildered Selena was clearly unprepared for the question and kept silent as Richards carried on: "What don't we get about him or what is it that he's not getting out there?"

The star - who took a break from celebrating her 21st birthday to answer the call - then abruptly ended the interview by hanging up, with Richards laughing at her actions.

Gomez recently confirmed during an E! special with Ryan Seacrest that [uuid=fac387ab-9083-4729-be27-70398815019a]she was no longer dating Justin[/uuid], telling him: "No, I'm not. I think I'm okay with being content right now.

"I think that's what I'm happy with. And then whatever happens happens."
