Selena Gomez Reveals She Felt ‘Violated’ After Her Split From Justin Bieber

And we’ll be hearing all about it in her next album, Revival.

In case you were wondering, Selena Gomez’s upcoming album isn’t called ‘Revival’ for nothing.

The former Disney star is going through yet another transformation with her first studio album released through the record label Interscope, and she isn’t afraid to get real about some stuff.

In her latest interview with Wonderland, Selena has revealed that the opportunity to take control of her own image was tough but seriously worth it – especially since she had a chance to take charge after feeling ‘violated’ by the world discussing her break up with Justin Bieber.

She told the magazine: “It was very violating and I think [my album] was such an outlet for me to talk about how I see things.

“Honestly, it’s the first time somebody said: 'So what do you want to do?' and I literally had no idea what I wanted to do because I didn't have anyone to fall back on.

"I wasn't asking Disney, I wasn't asking anyone. It was going to be solely me. And at this point there had been so many people talking about my life."

And while Selena doesn’t typically spill tea on any dramatic goings on in her life, it looks like her latest album will dish out some seriously personal details.

She added: "I wanted the opportunity to figure out what I'm going to say and how I'm going to say it so people can understand me. It took about a year in total to figure it out.”

"Obviously it is exciting and beautiful and I can't wait. It is going to be my revival - that's why I've titled it ‘Revival’. I had to realise that the real world was exactly where I need to be, or else I'm going to lose my mind."

Oh dear lord, hurry up October 9.
