Selena Gomez Unfollows Demi Lovato And Gigi Hadid On Instagram
Fans spotted that the singer has culled a good portion of her friends.
Fans have spotted that Selena Gomez has gone through the pretty major task of cutting down her Instagram friends at the expense of celeb pals including Demi Lovato and Gigi Hadid.
The singer – who holds the crown of being the most followed person on the social-media platform – took the decision to unfollow over 250 accounts, which has decreased the number of people on her feed from 316 to just 37.
Let's all get checking out an update from MTV News...
While it’s pretty difficult to decipher exactly which accounts have been dropped in this overhaul – assistant Theresa Mingus and old friends Demi and Gigi seemingly no longer make the cut.
Meanwhile BFF Taylor Swift, Amy Schumer, Jessica Alba, best friend and kidney donor Francia Raisa and a bunch of Selena Gomez fan accounts *have* survived the dramatic cull. Phew.
It’s worth mentioning that pressing the unfollow button doesn’t always indicate drama, with Selena previously revealing that she doesn’t even have the password to her Instagram account and that her assistant will often post there in her place.
"As soon as I became the most followed person on Instagram, I sort of freaked out," Gomez said during an interview with Vogue. "It had become so consuming to me. It's what I woke up to and went to sleep to. I was an addict, and it felt like I was seeing things I didn't want to see, like it was putting things in my head that I didn't want to care about. I always end up feeling like shit when I look at Instagram. Which is why I'm kind of under the radar, ghosting it a bit."

Considering it's barely been 24 hours since Selena left the comment “FIRE” under Demi’s Instagram uoload, it looks like Sel is simply taking steps to make her feed that little bit more streamlined.
