Shrek Forever has beaten chick flick sequel Sex And The City 2 to the top of US box office chart.
The flick- which stars Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim Cattrall- also made less money over the Memorial Day weekend than Disney epic Prince Of Persia.
The fourth Shrek movie took $55m while Prince of Persia made $26.1m and SATC2 $25.6m.
Sex And The City also opened in UK cinemas on Friday with critics giving it universally bad reviews.
However filmmakers are apparently already working on a third film based on the TV series- with London a possible location for the characters latest shopping japes.
