5 Sex Positive Instagram Accounts You Should Be Following

Naughty but very nice.

The MTV Staying Alive Foundation is all about opening up conversations amongst young people to ensure they know how to protect themselves from sexually transmitted diseases. If you’re into this too, why not inject a bit of sex positive imagery into your Instagram feed? Check out a couple of sex positive Instagram accounts worth following:

@mtvstayingalive

Might as well kick off with our own account! We recently got our Instagram account going and it’s definitely worth a follow. As the MTV Staying Alive Foundation supports projects all around the world, expect our pics to come to you from all around the world! We put up a mix of images from our grantee projects, shots from inside MTV’s London HQ where the foundation’s based and pics of our celebrity ambassadors. See the newest addition to our team of ambassadors, Tinie Tempah, below!

This American reproductive health giant pushes out a whole load of bright and cheery images. A tonne of useful safe sex messaging and facts are brought to you through the medium of quirky doodles, contraceptive collages and catchy quotes.

This account’s a bit more down to business and less doodles than the others on this list but definitely worth looking at. Images on this account mainly include solid facts on all sorts of aspects of health – including sexual health. Plus, they throw in a bit of celebrity founder Jessica Biel every now and again, so that’s always good.

Bedsider is an online network offering birth control advice and support to young women with a fresh and feminine Instagram feed. @bedsider’s feed includes a dash of body positivity, sprinkle of relationship advice and plenty of pro-contraceptive messaging. It’s worth noting that given this that organisation’s major stance is birth control, there’s less of a focus on STI prevention that other contraception positive accounts might offer.

One of the things that stands in the way of us all having healthy conversations about sex is the fog of mystery and awkwardness than surrounds the vagina. Things would run a lot smoother if we all had a better idea of what was actually going on with vaginas. Maybe be careful opening up this Instagram account at work because it contains a whole load of pictures of vaginas in all different shapes and sizes.
