Shakira has given birth to her first child, a baby boy called Milan.
The Waka Waka (This Time For Africa) singer and partner Gerard Piqué welcomed their first child at 9.36pm last night (22nd January) in Barcelona, Spain.
Milan weighed approximately 6lbs 6oz and was reportedly delivered via caesarean, with mother and baby said to be in "excellent health".
Shakira and the Barcelona footballer confirmed the news in a post on the Columbian star's website, where an explanation was given into the tot's name.
It read: "The name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification."
The statement added: "Just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth."
According to El Pais, Piqué was the only man present for the birth, with reports suggesting the She Wolf hitmaker had requested that the medical team were all women.
Milan's arrival was first announced by Shakira's Fund PiesDescalzos (Barefoot Foundation) on Twitter, with the organisation writing: "The team of the Barefoot Foundation are happy for the birth of Milan! Shaki We love you." The tweet was later deleted.
The 35-year old previously hinted that she was about to go into labour tweeting: "I'd like to ask you all to accompany me in your prayers on this very important day of my life. Shak."
Only last week, Shakira showed off her baby bump while stripping off for a semi-naked photo with Piqué in support of a UNICEF charity appeal.
Congratulations to Shakira and Gerard from MTV!
