Shawn Mendes has given us the best gift possible in the form of a BRAND NEW trackand we’re totally obsessed.

On the brink of kicking off his Illuminate World Tour, the 18-year-old singer/songwriter has dropped ‘There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back’, an impossibly catchy pop song that we’ve already got on repeat.

Speaking to Billboard about the new song he said: “The minute I wrote this song I knew I wanted to get it out before my tour started, to give fans something new and fresh in addition to everything from Illuminate. I can't wait to perform it on the tour, and for everyone to hear it.”

The single was written by Shawn in collaboration with Scott Harris, Teddy Geiger and Geoff Warburton, and produced by Teddy Geiger.

Shawn's Illuminate World Tour kicks off on 27th April at The SSE Hydro in Glasgow, followed by Manchester Arena on April 28th. He returns to the UK for two shows at The O2, London on 1st and 2nd June - you can catch us singing our hearts out in the front row.
