Shay Mitchell Responds To Claims Her Instagrams Are Faked

Hmmm…..

Shay Mitchell is known for making us all jealous with her dreamy 'shaycation' travel pics - so when she was accused of faking her ‘gram game, the whole world (ahem) drew a collective shocked gasp.

Watch the latest from MTV News in the video below!

Now the Pretty Little Liar (pun intended) has responded to the accusations, on none other than instagram, obviously.

Things kicked off when website StyleCaster pointed out that one of Shay’s latest insta stories had actually appeared on the Canon travel blog, and that it featured a computer cursor in the bottom left-hand corner.

They also pulled several other examples of photos from her grid, including this one of pastel-coloured buildings, which she originally captioned: “When buildings inspire your next nail polish change #pastels #shaycationHongKong”.

Thing is, it was actually taken in 2014 by photographer Jan Vranovsky… in Tokyo, Japan.

Then there’s this one - a temple in Shanghai, where Shay is currently shaycationing - that was flagged for seeming to feature exactly the same tourists as a photo posted by another account two years ago.

And another of a red door, originally captioned just ‘SHANGHAI’ but which has since been given a Pinterest credit by Shay.

OH THE ABSOLUTE SCANDAL.

Shay doesn’t really seem bothered by the whole thing though - her response was to post a pic in front of the Shanghai skyline along with the caption: ‘View so nice it almost looks… fake’.

Boom.
