Shia LaBeouf Wears Paper Bag On Head To Film Premiere

Actor trumps his Eric Cantona quote at press conference by putting bag over his head for red carpet walk...

When Shia LaBeouf declared last year that he is "not famous anymore" many celeb-watchers scoffed and assumed he'd soon forget he'd said it.

However the controversial 27-year-old star was true to his word, sort-of, when he walked the red carpet for the Berlin Film Festival premiere of Lars Von Trier's Nymphomaniac.

Shia wore a brown paper bag daubed with the words "I am not famous anymore" as he posed for photographers in a smart tuxedo.

The unusual move came after he had walked out of a press conference for the movie, having been asked a not-unexpected question about its explicit sex scenes.

He quoted Eric Cantona and told the assembled press corps: "When the seagulls follow the trawler, it's because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea. Thank you very much."

Shia has been in the headlines for an alleged case of plagiarism and for a scuffle in a London pub in recent months.
