Stephanie Pratt is reportedly planning to enrol in an outpatient rehab programme.
The Hills star, who was arrested for DUI last month is said to be taking classes in order to get her life back on track after the incident.
A source told InTouch magazine: "getting a DUI was the wake-up call she needed to get professional help for her drinking problem.”
They added: “Like a lot of people, she needed something to shake her up. She realises it could have been a lot worse…”
The 23-year old who has previously had a stint in rehab, could face up to six months in prison if found guilty of the offence.
However, her attempt to get help by enrolling in the rehab programme could aid her argument when the case hits court.
