Ace and Vis

Ace and Vis

This duo’s trademark troublemaking and passion for black music has paved the way for a meteoric rise from South London college radio DJ's to award wining presenters on the BBC and beyond.

They have already won A SONY Gold for their daily music show on Radio 1's sister station 1Xtra.

It all began back in 2002, when a BRIT school alumni sent a demo through to a new black music station they'd heard was due to be launched – BBC 1Xtra. On the strength of this demo, they secured the coveted lunchtime slot and the rest, as they say, is history. The duo’s raw talent, comical and natural charisma led them to be nominated for the Sony’s. They won the SONY Gold Award in 2004 for Best Daily Radio Show beating the likes of Chris Moyles to the top spot.

It was only a matter of time before their trademark troublemaking and passion for music made its way to your TV screens, and in 2003 The Illout Show with Ace and Invisible was born.

As the originators of pirate TV, they ensured the show quickly became the place to see the very best in home-grown UK talent, bringing the first televised interviews and performances from the likes of Kano, Sway, Akala and Roll Deep to its viewers.
In the summer of 2005, their hard work at 1Xtra saw them promoted to the flagship drive time slot. Their daily show from 4-7pm on BBC 1Xtra has put some well-needed fire back into the realms of digital radio.

Also, their  radio success was further cemented with the launch of their Friday night Radio 1 show, The 1Xtra Takeover with Ace and Vis. The new primetime slot on the biggest station in the country, was without question one of their greatest triumphs to date.
When they're not hijacking the airwaves, Ace and Vis can be found bringing madness and mayhem to clubs up and down the country with residencies in Bristol, London and Liverpool. They've also supported the likes of Nas, Kanye West and Lethal B on their UK dates, and have toured Ayia Napa, Germany and Japan.

Having conquered the world of Radio, they are now concentrating on TV presenting and we have already presented for BBC 2 & 3, MySpace and MTV Base's DJ Takeover series. This led them to being signed as new presenters on MTV Base –with their own slot ' Leaders of the New Skool. They also hosted ‘’Ace & Vis: Coming 2 Jamaica from The Reggae SumFest’’ in 2008 for MTV BASE.

Ace and Vis are MTV BASE’s pair to watch in the future- they are destined for big things!
