Kat
Kat is quick, quirky and an all-round entertainer with enormous appeal to teenagers and students up and down the country.  
 
He is best known for his antics on “MTV Base”, most recently he presented a show about Trinidad Carnival and also presented Kat In Ghana a more serious show about the lives of people in Kwahu Tafo, “The Lick” (with Trevor Nelson) and the “Request Show”.   
 
As well as being an experienced presenter, he is also an experienced choreographer, dancer and actor.  
 
Kat is often called on to cover other MTV shows and through this, has worked alongside June Sarpong, Richard Blackwood, Edith Bowman, Natalie Cassidy, and has interviewed everyone from J-Lo to Damage!
 
Kat has appeared in numerous productions at the Theatre Royal, Stratford East including Lorca’s “The Public”, “The Dragon Can’t Dance” as well as many variety nights.  
 
He also worked as a choreographer on Theatre Royal’s touring musical “One Dance Will Do” and the 2002 production of “Shoot 2 Win” and Roy Williams acclaimed ‘Little Sweet Thing’.
 
Other theatre credits include the Scarecrow in “The Wiz” (Hackney Empire), Billy Goose in “Mother Goose” (Hackney Empire), “A Christmas Carol” (Hackney Empire),“The Day The Bronx Died” (Tricycle Theatre), and work with The Posse and the Bibi Crew.  Kat has also set up and continues to run “Ruff Stuff”, an award-winning dance troupe.
 
Film and television credits include “Waterland”, “Street Wise”, “Up Late With Gina Yashere” (BBC2), “Nights Out At The Empire” (C4) and “The Richard Blackwood Show” (C4).  Kat also had a video part in ‘Da Boyz’, a hip-hop musical at Theatre Royal, Stratford East.
 
Kat frequently visits schools to run workshops in scriptwriting, music and movement.  
For MTV BASE Kat has filmed a Reggae Sunsplash Special in Jamaica, where he recorded his own song (all 20 seconds’ worth of it!), Kat in Trinidad, Kat in Ghana and many other specials for MTV Base as well as appearing regularly as a guest presenter on many of the their programmes including the MTV Europe Music Awards BASE backstage show..
