Shyne Signs Seven Figure Deal With Def Jam

The rapper re-signs to his old label

American rapper Shyne, who was recently freed from prison, is now rebuilding his music career.

The hip-hop artist is now back in the studio for the first time in ten years after spending the last eight in a New York prison. He was jailed for taking part in a nightclub shooting in 1999, which also alledgedly invloved Diddy and then girlfriend Jennifer Lopez.
And after a bidding war between several hip-hop heavyweights, Def Jam Recordings has inked a new seven-figure deal with the star, reports AllHipHop.com.
Previously released album, Godfather: Buried Alive, came out when Belize-born Shyne was incarcerated, but he fell out with Def Jam boss, LA Reid, over the poor promotion the record had received.
The rapper was also denied entry into the UK on February 10th 2010 due to not having the correct documentation on him. He was coming to London to record new material.
